Kids Ministry at Common Ground Church

At Common Ground Church our DREAMERS, HEROES, and LEGENDS (infant through 5th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way.

Your First Visit

Here's what to expect when visiting our Kids Ministry for the first time:

First, find the area marked for Kids Check-In. There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then one of our Servant Leaders will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.

Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):

  • Parent/guardian name(s)
  • Child's name
  • Child's birthdate
  • Home address
  • Phone number
  • Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children

How Check-in Works

Before Service: You can check in your child at any available computer. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold onto the matching safety tag.

During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, a text will be sent to the phone number you provided. We ask that you exit the worship center immediately and look for a staff member or Servant Leader who will direct you to your child’s room.

After Service: After the service has ended, you will return to your child’s room and show your safety tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

We have adjusted some of the procedures that we have in place for the safety of your kids and our team. In an effort to honor our leaders who teach on Sunday mornings, we want to encourage our families to be on time for service. We ask that you show up 20 minutes prior to service starting to ensure a smooth check-in Also, to help us to minimize traffic in the hallway, our team will take your child to class. Face masks are welcome but not required at this time. A Safety Team Leader is present the entire time in the lobby for your child's safety.

Kids Ministry Director & Office Administrator

Jacque Jarrett joined the Common Ground Church leadership team in 2019. She serves as our Kid's Ministry Director and Office Administrator. Jacque has been married to her husband Joe since 2010, and they have two daughters. Jacque is obsessed with cows and coffee.
